I keep checking this thread as well as the one over at Old Unreal in hope that an announcement is made somewhere along the lines of, "Firestorm release imminent!"
I have Unreal + RTNP lined up and ready to play when an announcement is made. :o

I'm playing through all of the maps in the custom map reviews section to burn off some time so Firestorm will seem to be released quicker.

Agreed. I'm sincerely hoping for some sort of announcement before the New Year, even if it's just an update (although at this point, it seems that a release is now or never, if Turboman indeed moves).

If Turboman has to move out and Firestorm isn't finished, I sure hope that he at least releases what he has so far. It's playable after all in this current state........

But yes, I do agree that no project can be 100% perfect on the first release. Unless there are some very bad bugs remaining, I say prepare for release! 8)

hey guys, Happy new year!

and just to inform you what's going on lately:

i'm still working hard on some improvements, the mod is playable but there are some apparant issues that need to be resolved.

I'm working on some visual tweaks to take advantage of new stuff in UT/227, ofcourse for this i need to wait for the latest 227 stable release.
The codebase is being worked on, too many bugs keep the mod from being properly playable (especially in coop), this is pretty much the most work to be done. I found some coders willing to help me with cleaning up some of the codebase (biggest thanks to marco).
