Wanted: Screenshots for the main site

Here's a test of one image I have that I thought might work; I cropped out the HUD and gun and badly cloned the area where the crosshair is (hopefully it isn't noticeable, especially with the way the USP backgrounds look). Unfortunately cropping all the stuff out led to low vertical dimensions (the processing of the final image might mean a scale-up isn't too noticeable though). Do you think it could work? If it does I'll do it to all the ones I like the look of from my current collection.

Woah. These are all perfect. Great job! However.. could you perhaps reupload the warmer images (Rrajigar, Nali Castle) with better quality? They seem to have suffered a bit. Nevermind, they're totally fine! Actually, no, they aren't. Nali Castle and Na Pali Haven especially took a heavy hit - if possible, please upload them at higher quality when you prepare your next batch! My bandwidth can support PNG as well.

I... don't know about that. Upscaling cropped images kind of defeats the point of raising the resolution bar to begin with, since the quality is considerably worse. Of course it's not as notable since it's just a background image, but then we might as well just take the old screens and upscale them.

Added an Unforchers shot. I'm afraid the rest are mainly unfitting because they're at 800x600, while the 1024x768 ones are too pixelated/jaggy.

Cool But the pics are all at 1024x768. You have to click on the picture to see the original size. Or did I miss the problem?

The second, third, fourth and fifth screens are all 800x600.

What? I looked at them again and came to the conclusion that I need new glasses. When I took the shots I wondered the whole time why the edges are that pixelated. Thanks for reminding to change my display resolution ^^

Replaced all my Unreal shots with PNG versions. I hope they're slightly better now!

Updated the site with a metric ton of new images. Great job so far, everyone!

EDIT:
Now introducing an experimental background image for the forums, shining through tables and text. Sadly looping through random images may be out of question, since that would consume considerable bandwidth for switching images on every click. Unless, of course, somebody comes up with a solution...

There may have been at some time. A few got replaced; hence the custom maps intermixed with the retail maps in the list I posted earlier.

sana: Bandwidth isn't a problem once people have the images all cached; I guess it depends how many you're uploading, how big the files are and how often you're going to change them.
