How would you like the navigation bar (at the top) to behave?

Poll ended at 26 May 2014, 16:09

Leave it at the top of the page. If I need something, I can scroll up.

Scroll it along with the viewer! I don't mind a little less vertical space.

It works for the smaller elements, but I think I prefer the main boxes of the forums without the yellow border; the colour seems just aggressive enough to draw your eye away from the main content a bit. Maybe if it was a little faded/translucent...

Yeah I agree with this. Yellow borders are good for interactive objects, i.e. buttons and links, but for static borders it is a little much, even without the per-post borders.

Why was this never criticized with the original site design (or my new redesign), then? Those have even bigger borders around the content.

Seeing a design on paper and actually using one are completely different things. Some stuff that doesn't seem like an issue might end up feeling differently later.

The design stays for now, since I'm fairly sure people will get used to it pretty quickly. If this is not the case, I will revise it later.

Changed the official spelling of the site to UnrealSP.org from UnrealSP.Org. Pretty minor change!
Hadn't had a chance to continue site work today.

Hey, why was "view your posts" removed?

I had to manually add in a partial URL from another forum just to view my own posts.

You can see your own posts by visiting your profile and clicking "Search user's posts". I didn't think this feature would be used by anybody at all, but if it is, I can gladly put it back.

Just wondering what is happening with the shoutbox. The space for it on the index page hasn't gone yet, so is it coming back?

I actually just downloaded a relevant phpBB mod half an hour ago and wanted to install it, but figured I should wait until the site is less active.

Shoutbox added to bottom of the front page. It may or may not slow loading times. We will have to see! Please report back any issues you notice.

Cleaned up header a bit more, adding visible borders to the buttons for easier clickability on mobile devices etc.

Preview peek of what the new review page might look like:

http://www.unrealsp.org/usp2/review.php

Ignore the summary box at the bottom, that's not done. I need sleep now.

Big fan of how you've re-organized the information at the top of the page.
However, the big dark borders around the images are overkill for me, and I don't think the captions below the images need to be surrounded with quotation marks because they're not quotes.

NOT KEEN on the new review page. Can you make it expand to fill the whole screen? I can't stand sites which only use the middle part of my screen and leave freaking massive borders on either side of the content. The current USP review pages are perfect in that regard. Otherwise it's cool.

random other points of concern:
Where have the rotating background images gone?
What's up with the skaarj logo at the bottom of the menu?
Why doesn't the schema score at the end of the reviews have colourful numbers?
Why doesn't the menu follow you as you scroll like it does on the current main page?

As regards the changes to the forum: I have no issues :)
