Could you check if a Dr. Flay has an not yet approved account with this forum?

He's been trying for awhile · http://www.ut99.org/viewtopic.php?p=41686#p41686

This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.

A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its
recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:

--Dr.Flay's e-mail address--
SMTP error from remote mail server after end of data:
host mailin-02.mx.aol.com [205.188.190.1]: 521 5.2.1 :
(CON:B1) http://postmaster.info.aol.com/errors/554conb1.html

I approved his account manually. Weird!

\o/ Hooray!
Set an extra place at the table! The Doctor has finally made it in from the cold :D

Thankyou Grins, and thankyou Sana, for not only unlocking the door, but posting the error message.

This probably explains why I've had similar issues with other sites (most annoyingly the Linux Mint forums).
Without a way in to a community, it is hard to talk to someone who can help.
I have had similar issues with using my hotmail to sign up.
It may be a pro-active way they are trying to cut down on spammers using their services, but that would mean that they are black-listing forums ?
(just followed the link in your post. They are indeed blocking this site ! Isn't this the wrong way round?)
554 CON:B1
The IP address has been blocked due to a spike in unfavorable e-mail statistics.

For all the good it will do I'll notify an automated retard at AOL :shake:

Hello peeps and peepesses, I may not get round to the statutory "Hello" thread for a while, as I usually join sites with a purpose in mind.
Just wish I could remember what was on my mind the previous times I tried to sign up!

Anyway, off to the forum for a monster idea :D
*rubs hands and bursts into maniacal laughter*
