IMO saying "Yeah we're here" without releasing stuff could be as annoying as lack of updates. What could be done is sort system by default from last updated, advantage is that You still can access everything from page, sort it as You want, etc.
Madness, as you know, is like gravity…all it takes is a little push!

There needs to be an 'active' and 'passive' split in the development section. A project is active by default until/unless the developer fails to update the thread in a given time period. When that occurs it is moved into the passive section where it is understood that development is stalled or stopped. That would save 1/4 of the posts as they are "Is this project dead?" or something to that effect.

Personally I reckon the most pressing issue is that people still aren't following a standard screenshooting format. The page looks messy and unprofessional with dead links and tiny thumbnails or different sizes. The page was better back when Scraggybabes was doing it all by himself!
Screenies are supposed to be a set resolution (can't remember which) at a 4:5 aspect ratio, with the 4 pixel white border iirc

I wish I could +1 a post. Iron nailed a big issue of standardization. This section ought to look like ModDB, easily navigated and formatted. It would encourage developers to post work too.
