What happens to the team stuffs for TUSP? Not an Internet wise-ass but is it not possible for the old forum database to be put in something like a compressed archive in under the unrealsp.org server?

I don't think there is anything terribly important on there... I have the design documents separately... but I guess I should check.

tbh, unrealspvault.org has been officially "shut down" for 4 months now. w/o time to rebuild or maintain the site it didn't seem like a practical decision to keep pouring money into hosting esp since I needed it for living expenses.

I did keep the domain name, so it may rise again. I'd consider doing that if you're on the fence. Hosting is hosting but if you lose a domain it could be years or $$$ to get it back if you change your mind.

I was looking for the pold forums, but couldnt find the link, in my opinium its a real loss if it were gone, once each time i look up stuff i need. And alot of info is to be found there.

1 what the hell is MOTW ?
2 where is the link to the old forums, cause i need to look up something ?


How bout retreiving the forums database and hand it over to me including needed passwords, so can run it from the CelticWarriors.net site, or Unreal Texture.com And that also includes the forum itself so i can have the forums the SP.org look like this one.

Damn, just saw this topic now and I hope I am not too late.

Could you please postpone shutting down that site for at least ±2 weeks so that I can have a look and perhaps copy interesting stuff - I am leaving for 10 days tomorrow morning and don't the time just now to run through the site.

There's no urgency to do anything until it is due for renewal. I'll see how my finances look when the time comes.

USP's in no danger - if it were, I'd consider a PayPal sponsorship system. But I'm not prepared to accept sponsorship to keep my own personal domain open. It wouldn't be right.

Hellscrag.net expires on 10 February 2010. Although I can see the value in still having access to the old forum archive including past MOTWs, I don't think the expense of renewing the domain just for that is justified.

Between now and the end of January is the time to save any key information from the old forum archive that you wish to retain.

I don't want anybody to go to the effort of saving all of the previous MOTW discussions from the old forum. Trust me, it isn't worth the time that will take!
