Reviewers wanted

Hi all

I'm looking for members of this community who'd like to try their hand at reviewing Unreal / UT SP maps. This would include:

- Reviewing older releases that have never been reviewed here (Since there aren't that many new releases these days, this would probably be a large part of the work);
- Reviewing more recent releases that we have missed;
- Re-reviewing packs that are still scored here on the old schema; and
- Potentially, reviewing some of the high profile new releases that we are currently promoting here (but it would be good if you could have some practice reviewing older / smaller releases first).

Reviewers would have to use the UnrealSP.Org review schema and would have to be as consistent as possible with scores already given by this web site.

Useful sources of unreviewed maps:
- Review suggestion box thread here at the UnrealSP.Org forums
- Custom Map Eurovision thread here at the UnrealSP.Org forums
- http://www.oldunreal.com/

Thanks for reading!

I'm still up for some. Although maybe it would be easier if you just said "Proph, do this one or do that one."

I don't really have sufficient knowledge of the unreviewed stuff to do that, though. That's why we need the suggestion box. There's some interesting stuff on there that's yet to be explored.

Personally I don't have the enthusiasm to do a lot more reviewing these days. It's also why I'm dragging my feet on my last couple of re-reviews (including Skytown Redux, sorry Proph). Having said that, I AM enjoying replaying Deus Ex at the moment, so maybe my interest in gaming hasn't completely died the death!

I've had several false starts with that pack. Always a missing package. I've been meaning to give it a third try.

EDIT: Just made another attempt. Still get the infernal missing package MyLevel.None.

That shouldn't be happening. What version of Unreal are you using?

Actually this isn't the right place for this...I'll PM you :wink:

I always wanted to do a review, but I just don't have the time. Maybe over the summer after schools out.

I think there are only seven maps (packs) on the site that need to be re-reviewed. I think between two or three people we could knock them out quickly. I'd like to give One Day another go cus I've been itching to try it for the longest time. I was also looking at Morene. I can take those two.

Try making a fakey mylevel file naming it mylevel.

Or make an official sound or texture or .u to psych out the thing to at least get it to play.

Wouldn't mind taking a look at Na Pali Haven: Redux and Sirius

I'm happy for you to tackle One Day and Morene.

I've probably advised you of this before (it may not have worked), but you need to remove or temporarily rename dusk.umx to remove a naming conflict with One Day's dusk.unr.

I'm also happy for you to tackle those.

Since you're now allowing people to do a reexamination of mappacks already reviewed by you with the old score, then I want to join. I choose Zero Black.

I'm glad you said that UB :o . I never got around to finishing that one.
