On entering this map I was disappointed on two counts:

1. It had suddenly switched from day to night; and
2. The textures and lighting were a completely different theme.

The look and feel of the mod became more consistent after this, but at that point I was very worried about the overall quality control of the project.

To be honest.. I don't remember much of this map anymore.. :/
When I see the pics.. well.. I see the coloring that's typical for Zephon: blue, blue-ish grey, orange lights.. and that's all I remember. Guess I should dust off my download folder...

I'll comment on this some day, but for now, by reading the synopsis, this map is incredibly easy! Image

Yeah, especially with Frozen Skaarj minor boss at the end. But well, it wasn't bad in terms of gameplay, just.... balanced (or even you were oversupplied).

yup , there was originally a map that gone between this one and zp01 , where the time switched to day/night , but i screwed it by making crazy stuff with terrain and map became bsp instable , didnt have any motivation to fix it , and more it used another UMS ship landed which served to marines ( i thought of including fight with them also ) and didnt make much sense with the story plot , so we dropped it :/

Will this map have any fixes in the "upcoming" patch?
Not only gameplay wise (difficulties), but maybe also the day/night transition?

From the good part of Zephon (That is to say, difficulty wasn't completely screwed). Good, solid architecture and some nice scripted sequences.

Video done.

Wouldn't it maybe be a good idea to wait for the patch before doing Zephon maps (at least the later ones)?

not true , but i agree its confusing

this SP version is the real original ,its the first map started for zephon around 3 years ago .. the MH version is only different in texturing and some parts got updated visuals ( i would say 30% of it was rebuilded ). hopefully , the sp version got a slightly new look some months before zephon was realesed , i decided to retexture all of it with ut2k4 textures , and rebuilded some areas :) ( the original was textured with a icy version of evillair texture ) :P
