Not played this map, but looks like it might be worth a go. I find the magical Nali stuff a bit difficult to get into to be honest. The visuals look good, except for that tree which looks like a log rather than a tree. I don't know why they didn't use a decoration, or at least use the 2D shape editor to make the shape a bit more interesting.

I remember really liking this map. Had lots of those little fruit healths and stuff and the location was interesting, an ancient underground monastery sort of thing.

I like this one. Good use of music, interesting puzzles and triggers. Plenty of items. Only downside is only having the knife and being forced to use the mudball spell in battle in/near water.
If you see this, I was a really dumb and stupid kid. Don't listen to the above.

I remember really hating the combat in this map. The pic on the bottom left in particular depicts a room that stands out in my memory, and I hated that damn room.
The place was pretty cramped as well as I recall. Too easy to snag. In a group fight, this and the sluggish spell system drove me nuts.

This level is quite simple in terms of visuals, but it also has quite a bit of backstory and various tasks along with lots of exploration. With a few exceptions those strengths are normal in Eater's NC maps which makes them some of my favourites despite their relative visual simplicity; given that he is apparently the one who came up with the idea in the first place and did a lot/most of the coding I guess it makes sense that he would be most in-tune with a certain vision for the pack, which seems to be quite adventure-focused based on his maps.
This level has a couple of issues though, as it's a bit cramped (to the point of almost feeling underscaled at times, especially in the central "underground village" room), and, being the first real combat map, you still have barely any offensive abilties to deal with pests easily. When you know where it is, making a bee-line for the Ice Shard spell helps a lot though.

Thing that got me was the way the lift looked after you smash the rock.I had no idea that i was supposed to jump in there to exit.I only did because there was nothing left to do and no place else that I could think to go.
but you have to jump again at the wall to the real lift, dunno was just odd.
Was still cool though how they put the water cave areas in along with the rooms areas. The other problem was jumping back out of the small area of water, the area to the right doorway of the church pews.
But it did set off the beginning after the first map was done.

hahahaha. Love it XD Would cookie you or +1 or something if I could.
I never really got very far into NC, still on the todo list. This map i did complete, and I've got "interesting" memories of it. For one the first time I played NC the renderer screwed up and everything was fuzzy and transparent, which gave an extremely retro atmosphere to the whole experience. Subsequent attempts at a playthrough reveal the map for what it is: A good atmospheric piece, which happens to feel extremely cramped. Enjoyable all up.

On Youtube. It just seems Mman hasn't put it in this thread yet.
