This is probably one of my favorite RtNP maps, right after Edge of Na Pali on my list. I loved the location, atmosphere, and music.

Always liked those weird water huts. Spire Valley had some of them too.

This map is a little too straight forward, but it does have the underwater passage.
Just ban everyone

Nice layout like in Edge of Na Pali. However, I find the combats a bit boring. OK, finally Skaarj, but that's it. The predator ambush never worked for me, because the Krall on the bridge are retreating and trigger the predators.
On another note, I don't like that you have such a big weapon arsenal so early in the game. After this map you have: Dispersion, Automag, Stinger, ASMD, Flak, CARifle, Grenade Launcher. Additionally, I hate that the grenade launcher conflicts with the ASMD. They should have moved the new weapons to the slots 7+.

Having a big arsenal as early as possible is never a bad thing.

I liked the large arsenal. iirc there was abundant ammo, but it favoured the "conventional" weapons (automag, CARifle). so you couldn't go overly crazy with the flak cannon for example
also music ftw

A very short and simple level, but dat music (shame it didn't get a bigger level). It also does a good job introducing some of the more unique parts of RTNP's design (like the water buildings) after the traditional design of the first map.

I think they're outposts of some sort or other.

This map is largely memorable to me because I enjoy the music track so much, I admit that. The level itself doesn't hit the high notes of something like Spire Valley or that fantastic first level, perhaps, but I always felt that it was paced very well and the first time I played RTNP I was fiending the pack pretty hard up to this point.

I agree, it was full of fiends at least on Unreal difficulty.

Some nice ideas but, like many of the maps in RtNP, too short and insubstantial.
My experience of RtNP was that I absolutely loved it the first time round (new, professional-standard Unreal to play!) but it became slightly less satisfying every time I came back to it. The original game stood up much better to repeated replays.
