There's actually some sort of 3D skybox but it's implemented extremely poorly.
The map is boring and devoid of life. Very bad except the view of the cliff island.

Since I downloaded the Co-op version first, going from that brutality to the proper version with like five low-tier enemies is kind of funny.

Despite the awful sky and dodgy ground texture there's some nice detail in some parts; the huts are simple but functional enough, and the main view is pretty huge in scale. Too bad there's basically nothing to the map gameplay-wise as you just kill about five weak enemies and then leave after a forced-damage fall. In light of that, the final message saying to guard the teleporter feels like the punchline to a joke that was never set-up.

With such wide open and flat terrain a few titan fights might have improved the monotony.

I agree with MMAN and think it looks nice in spots, but maybe it's just better to play it in coop.

Some more detailed discussion in this topic: viewtopic.php?f=21&t=2586&p=53831&hilit=once+great+temple#p54433.

Marty.unr (this map) is the SP version which is 100 times easier than th coop-version.

Loved this map, one of those inspiring levels that got me into mapping in the first place. Back when I first played the game and tried my first batch of custom maps, the openness of this one made me drop my jaw, I thought "THIS is what people could produce with unrealed?"

ofcourse my own attempt at recreating something like this met with epic fail :P
