In terms of short and pointless maps, this one ranks pretty high up there.

It looks alright I suppose.

As a prelude to the next level this one makes no sense; why is there a high-tech influence (in both the crates and trims) here when the actual temple is completely untouched (with no transition to suggest the main temple is secret or something)? The puzzles also don't fit with the next level either, which is a simple shoot-em-up one. The Fire God Temple is probably the part of ONP that suffers most from trying to be "leet" at the expense of all else; it wants to wow you with whizz-bang without putting much effort into actually earning that beyond some random scripted sequences interspersed with completely ordinary gameplay.

In my opinion, this map and the one after it were very anticlimactic after "Wipeout"; it really should have gone from there to "Lands of Rostivelt", which would have made more sense due to the tech facilities there.
First Cave looks great and is quite atmospheric, but the rest of the map... :/
Oh yeah, iirc, you can go across on the obelisk then go back across the ruined bridge without it falling down until you're at the other side.

I just thought it was a very cool place to enter.

Nice well lit screenies this time.

And from flying level you don't necessarily need to land in a higher tech area.

I don't follow storylines very much so I don't know where the hell I landed. :P

Do you think the 'pah pah pah' was meant to be a subtle easter egg that no one would notice? It's hardly a pirate of Na Pali hidden in the dark behind a wall.
Also, that crate seesaw was oddly convenient.

Now wait a minute, if this is the one you go through the traps-maze stuff and the checkered floor (that some didn't like, I think scraag) this map is like a 9.5 hell make it a 10

it was NOT short and pointless, it had a lot of stuff in it, some odd areas, great mapping and lighting, and ideas, mover mechanics that made sense, and some good fight action.

Just looked at the video, and you guys are CRAZY !!!!!!!

idk of the ONP maps I really liked this one since it's pretty peaceful, totally necessary after all those loud big things of the Chico section
