Aaah... StrangeWorld... One of the very first Single Player Campaigns I played for Unreal. I remember being *Amazed* at the quality of the mappack at the time - and it was (along with Attacked) one of the things that inspired me to create my own Single Player campaign.
3 years on I look at it and think "meh, doesn't look as good as I remember it."
I'll always remember this level for teh 1337 Bawss Battl at the end :D

Seems like this level wasn't done that long ago, so I guess my old comments still apply:

Mman wrote:A pretty simple ending level and mostly just backtracking through the first map. The big Merc horde is fun to blow away with Strangeworld's overpowered weapons, and the ending+final boss is amusing enough to work as a climax but it's overall one of the weaker maps in the pack.

I thought the tiny mercenary was hilarious when I first played Strange World. I think I would have preferred an actual boss fight, though. These days, the lighting is probably my favorite thing about the map - love the dark blue and orange colors in the skybox and the lighting in the mercenary-infested village.

It's usually round about the area presented in the first shot that I stop playing. Only ever finished strangeworld once. Great pack tho.

Is the day/night thing dynamic? I could never quite work that out

In the first map, yes, DavidM used a special light actor that changes over a specified length of time (At least, I think he did. There was one such actor included with ONP anyway...)
