I did not like these IVAN KRAN maps and other techno labyrinths in Unreal, I was getting stuck and annoyed running back and forth, could not wait for them to end to embrace Na Pali again.

Probably the most forgettable out of all the ISV kran levels in all honesty. I mean its a good entrance level and all, but the 2 maps afterwards just offer more.

The Kran segment is one of my least favourite because I prefer the alien environments to the more domestic stuff. This one in particular has a kind of strangely designed arena battle at the start, and this is a part where limited tech doesn't help; there's very little scripting so the battle lacks energy and tends to involve hunting down stragglers, with pretty vague events happening after you've killed everything (though it's small enough that you're unlikely to be stuck long). Deck 1 does a similar concept much better at the start. To be fair the second arena battle at the top of the cargo room is better due to the confined environment that inherently adds some tension.

I always thought the drama of the ISV-Kran segment was well conveyed, and sort of harkens back to what we got with Vortex Rikers.
ISV-Kran Deck 4 isn't the best map of said segment, but it was exciting the first time round and thanks to its strong moments, I still consider it great.

Strange for me to see so many people to dislike KRAN levels... Because for me those are really exciting with the almosphere of cosmic horror that they bring... Dark suspence in all those creepy corridors, dead crew members, and the screams heard from somewhere in the depths of ship... I really like this feeling, and the level design is very great too. It really has its strong moments, and I empathized the people who died fighting together against the Skaarj. But the most important thing is that I just like dead spaceships =)
