Didn't know where to post this, was wondering if anyone else has had this problem. I just finished building my new PC. I put Unreal & Unreal gold on it and it worked fine, then I installed a new video card(Geforce8500 GT) and now when I try to get in the game, Open GL bugs out and the entire map looks like its spinning, also no matter what Rendering device I use, my game "jumps" and skips around alot.

Disable onboard vga
use drivercleaner if you have a gpu installed prior to the newer one
update drivers (nvidia and ut)
delete ut.ini

All of Zynth's steps, although I would isolate lack-of/bad drivers as the main cause if you have only installed what came with it (or none at all).

I did a disk cleanup, drivers are already updated. Just need to look at disabling onboard video, just wierd that it only affects Unreal/UG and not Ut2k4 and other games.

Also, are you using the good custom UT OpenGL driver, or the broken one that comes with it? That would explain it, maybe you should try Direct3D as well.

I don't think I should be using the UT version with unreal1. Am I supposed to? My game with OpenGL used to work on my old PC. I'v Also tried using other renderers like D3d and Software but it still gets all jumpy. Also can find way to disable my Integrated Video card, for all I know it may have automatically turned off when I installed my new one.

The integrated Video should be disableable in your computer's BIOS setup.

If it's Unreal rather than UT that we're talking about, head to http://www.oldunreal.com/ and download the latest OpenGL renderer for the game. The OldUnreal renderers are streets ahead of the stock Unreal OpenGL renderer (!).

Found out what was wrong in another thread, had to disable my dual core for Unreal. Works perfect now.
