Hello guys, does anybody remember of a really old (10 years or more) mappack with Unreal original maps recompiled for UT?

It does sound like the first UT Classic Pack, which included basic UT ports of all the stock Unreal and RTNP DM maps plus three unused beta maps. Lightning Hunter released two further UT Classic Packs afterwards with some of the best custom DM maps.
The packs can be found at GEx's link above.

No, the *single player* maps!
I remember something hosted by Planetunreal: recompiled single player maps with better baked shadows, etc.

whoops... My fault. Well then I'll keep a lookout for it .
@Scrag: small addition, the ModernPack is also released by him, which acts like the Classic ones. Difference would be that these maps were made a bit later.

Again: the Unreal (1998) maps recompiled for UT (Oldskool Amp'd) during year 2001/2002 (I think).
It was basically a mod hosted on planetunreal.
