Subject: Unreal/UT sounds / ambience to mp3?

Anyone recommend a good way to get some of the sound effects and ambient sounds from Unreal Gold / UT to wav or mp3? I want to sample some of the ambient eerie sounds from the original unreal in my music

Unzip it to your desktop. Point it towards your sounds folder of your game. Choose the music box (it covers all sounds) and preview/extract whatever you like. This tool will also extract code, textures, models, etc.

hmmm this is a great program. However i can't figure out if/where the exported wav files are being exported to

hmmm this is a great program. However i can't figure out if/where the exported wav files are being exported to
it says export to /Sounds but my unrealgold folder doesn't have them hmm

Have you checked WOTgreal's folder or your C drive? UTPT often did the same thing to me if I didn't point it to a specific folder - I would export stuff, I wouldn't find it in my Unreal folder, and the files would end up being somewhere else. The two programs have similar exporters, so maybe they have the same problems.
