Greetings,
I recently started playing Unreal through UT via the Old Skool mod. So far, I can aver that I really enjoy the enhancements introduced by this. In any case, the problem is that sometimes when I die, my corpse disappears; is there any way to make it remain?
I've already corroborated that the permanent carcasses option was enabled but this still persisted. Once more, I wanted to note that it would only disappear sometimes so this nominal bug is quite capricious. Anyway, I would greatly appreciate any help.

Look at it like this:
- When you kill a monster, well, its corpse is supposed to remain there in the campaign;
- Now, in any SP campaign, even in Unreal, is supposed in the story that you never die in all the campaign. So everytime you die, you try to finish the level again, but in the story you never died, so you won't see your own corpse.
Don't you agree with me?

I think he was refering to the fact that if you die and wait for a while your corpse will disappear (without reloading, you just watch the monsters around).

Seeing your point that the Main Character disappears because he's not dead forever. Load the game and you're back to your life.
I should have quoted your entire post before, though.

Yes, that's precisely what I was referring to! Do you know how to rectify this? While it's logical that the main character is to be resurrected as he is an integral part to the game, it's quite nonsensical for his corpse to disappear before one even reloads the game.

If that's true, why is it only part of the time that my corpse disappears? To elucidate, the fact that it would not occur every time insinuated that it was a bug.

It may depend on the amount of the corpses of killed enemies in the map. The higher is that amount, the higher are the chances that your corpse will disappear more quickly.
At least that happens with me.

Actually, it could be possible, with a little scripting or change your corpse LifeSpan to 0, however, it would make you impossible to play online, since that you would have to change the package.

I know. That's why there is no legal way to fix it
