Gizzy, you forgot the check the "mipmaps" button on texture import for those Hi-Res weapon textures. This makes your map not work with 3dfx Glide in Unreal 227. Just letting you know in case you want to make your map as compatible as possible.

The UT2k4 weapons look very nice in D3D9. You should continue that mod.

Ah, thanks for pointing that out! I'll be sure to tick that box in future. Also, with BoneRotation, along with more advanced skeletal mesh support in 227g, the Rocket Launcher and Minigun can be ported properly. I might try it at some point but I heard Dots also has a similar project going, but was delayed by 227g.

Thanks for releasing this.

However, I am having a few issues. I can only use OpenGL mode on Unreal, DirectX lock up the game on starting. Not a problem as I use OpenGL for UT but I get very poor performance. Probably a setting issue but which new setting is a performance hog. Never had any performance issues with the UT OpenlGL renderer.

Also, Return to Nap Pali only seems to run in windowed software mode no matter what renderer I select.

Windows 7 64bit OS, GTX 460 and trying to run 1920*1080 widescreen.

Any help would be appreciated.

You got the wrong forum mate xD

The 227 dev team is based at Oldunreal. http://www.oldunreal.com Post your bugs there so they can track em down if it's a serious issue =)

As for your problems...did you turn shadows on? Shadows will greatly decrease performance unless set at the low res setting, even with a good spec comp like yours. And the RTNP only working in windowed software mode...never heard of anything like that before. It works fine for me...for both your issues...and I have almost the exact same setup as you.

Will do that. Will also try playing with shadows, that might be it as I think I set it to Ultra Res not knowing of the performance consequences.

turning shadows to Medium Res does the trick. Thanks.

RTNP still doesnt work, will try to fix that later.

Excuse me, I assume you are using Unreal Gold. Did you encounter difficulty installing the 227g patch? Also, did you patch Unreal Gold?

No I have RTNP on cd from when it came out, same with Unreal. I have only applied the official RTNP patch.

In terms of the 227g patch, only applied the non-gold version.
