From what I can see, the nails ARE long.. and do stick out (at least some of them are), so they basically stick out on both sides so to speak.... The pointy part and the flat head part...

All the weapons are modified a bit, especially the guns since you can upgrade them all. You even find a dispersion pistol with its regenerator pack removed, so you have to actually find battery cells or it will run out of ammo. Mostly, the upgrades add your capability to carry ammo for them, although power enhancements and special effects (like the razorjack, for example, can be piloted) are common too. The chainsaw looks about the same, but you can block with it now and the original primary fire has been removed in favor of the alternate slash. The bat works similar to this.

I dunno if the name Dead Cell was mentioned in 7B. I only thought of the name for the map a few weeks ago, before that it was just Cell. Although I might have had it in the back of my mind from 7B, if I did use it there. There's really no real tie to anything, other than the fact that it takes place somewhere in the Unreal Universe.

Yeah, bit of Cube too. The idea of waking up in a prison with no explanation why was very reminiscent of that.

let me get this straight
how do you get all those modifications? I didn't know you can collaborate for contest entries, or that you became a model artist and scripter :o Don't get me wrong, I would be happy to be able to play this, but I'm just curious about how you got all this cool stuff for your map.

& jeez... When you said you's be utilizing Kraden, I thought you might use one other texture set. :P

Just the one set, yeah. I'll be using every single texture in it as well (aside from Hourie's big name logo).

As for the combat, yeah there's gonna be melee but you'll have guns too.

tbh the setup is very similar to Oldboy. If you haven't seen it then just ಠ_ಠ
Seriously, just the continuous hallway fight scene is worth it.
