I would have liked to have joined but it's too late now and know I'd probably not get it finished in time. Maybe with the next competition.

A bit late (again) but it's never too late to wish good luck to all, and I am most certainly looking foward to play every map (more and more with each preview).

Good to hear from you, Flunders. There's still four weeks; you could still make something small; a concept map...?

I would just perfer to upload map when it's done, I hope things can be kept secret before the last day.I won't play any of the levels until contest is done, I presume I will be at the bottom of the contestants.


What I would like to know is, I want the end of my level to goto a cutscene map (very small)
But not sure how to trigger in a cutscene map and then have it's completion not snag things up to continue with the next persons map.
Can cutscene maps end like a regular map with a tele?

Don't worry about anyone else's map. You're making your own map. If you want to include an extro cutscene level, I'd suggest that you use UMS.

You can make a thread about it whenever you want, IF you even want to. I myself have yet to make one, so don't feel like you're obligated.

Maybe for me. Put me down, but don't count on it... I'm busy with TUT ATM... I will definately have time to make the map, but I'm going on holiday next week so I may not be able to upload it...

If the map comes in after 2nd August it can't be judged. Make sure anything you've made is available to us before then.

In case you missed my post in "new video card"

1 have slow vid card, finaly got new one .

2 a day later system fans run, then off, power supply old and bulged capacitors.

3 new supply, YAY all worked great.

4; a week goes by added some nice used cheap RAM ,worked good.

5 few days later, fans come on, fans go off

6 My old 2001 c drive trashed, got new one.

(files gone but who cares, I have a nice newer 160 gig a D drive with all my files on it STILL !!)

7 Install new drive, system found "D" as "C" because of the "large" hard drive above 30 gig.

8 I friggen hit the damn friggen button and repartitioned my "backup" drive, all my stuff gone, map been working on for 2 years, gone, files been keeping for 10 years, all gone.

9 I could retry my level and may be, do-able, but keep me half way crossed off the list.

So adding to my desperation, I tried severl programs to get my files back.
Got all the bmp jpg back even after formating.
I see more files and need to buy the program, however the last thing I did was play spacial Fear, and found "system" maps etc etc, but not ANY of my UT directory.The spatial fear must have been farther out in sectors and the program only seen the latest same name directories"system" maps etc etc.

That sucks. Sorry to hear that..
(ever tried online backup..? Not that helps at this moment, but still...)

I do, however, have a fleshed out enough concept that something should be coming out of this sometime soon, even if it's nothing more than an unfinished beta release.
