I couldn't find that question here so I'll ask.

Fire and Water textures MyLeveled? Can I? Cos I wan't to make fires and waterfalls of my own. Can I?

I was gonna say that that would probably be fine, but the rule DOES say not to use any MyLevel content.

Really, the whole point of the restrictions is to see what can be done with all stock assets, so get creative and mix and match textures until you get a good result is what I'd do!

Yea, custom content. But still, fire and water were available in the classic and original Unreal. So I just though... But ok.

Got a contest relevant question and I'm not in a position to test myself.

Decals and Fog. They don't work together in vanilla Unreal and in most cases of oldskool (I'm not aware that this was addressed outside of Seven Bullets). I'm led to believe that 227 fixes this, yes?

Oldskool has a fog hack for Oldskool's decals, but I think 227 fixed that too.

Yeah - 227 fixes decals in fog.

Question: In what extent can I change the default properties of an actor I've put in the level? Cos, for example, I have lot of knifes in my map that look like a huge glowing ball. So, if I can change the default properties of a decoration actor can I also change these properties of inventory items?

Um...as long as the actor is added in the map, and you're editing the default properties of that actor in the map...then you're fine. Just don't edit any of the new default properties added by 227 :P
