...and the abyss looked back into me.

Oooh, destructible terrain. Shiny!
Wonder what you're marking with those searchlight icons. An interpolation path...?

That is what happens when semi-solids decide they are no longer your friends :P In all honesty though you can look forward to blowing stuff up. The Eightball will be one of the weapons featured prominently in my map and there will be several puzzles which involve its use. Also the ForceField pickup, which is tied for most useless pickup in the original game along side the VoiceBox and Dampener. It would be helpful though if the ForceField wasn't hard coded to have only 1 use.

The searchlights are light actors that have had their texture changed (otherwise I just see a bunch of torches and it isn't immediately apparent to me what each light is for). Sorry to disappoint. I'm thinking there will be a (short) interpolation path or two though.

I'll also add an overall progress assessment to the first post.

Plant1 with the mesh set to BioRGel and CowBody1: It's what's for dinner. You get Dampeners for drinking glasses and you are going to like it.

I am seriously considering porting my entry over to 227g and finishing on that platform. UT is giving me so many headaches right now and now I find out I can't take proper screenshots either. JPG compression aside I did not edit this image at all.

Haha. All those things look fantastic and are hilarious at the same time. Great job re-using stock stuff in creative ways.

Oh my god, that table..! \o/
Though I think you should rather use Knives or another Decoration without any special properties rather than CowBody for the meat chunk, since gibs can be destroyed. (Unless that's intended)

And yeah, 227g is probably a good idea for editor stability and improved handling. Also lets you use non-Software renderers without any lag or particularly huge issues!

For screenshots you should use something like FRAPS (even the free version lets you take them) rather than the built in screenshot function.

I've always just used the printscreen button. :P

Gadwin Printscreen ^

Pretty nice tool, just start it up, bind a button to take screenshots, Set to .PNG format and take as many screenshots as you want, the only problem is that you might accumulate a lot of files if you don't watch your folder, but it's not a big deal even then.

I don't seem to have that problem now, but I've had it in the past where I appear to take pictures through the editor window. It turns out all screwed up like that.

Hopefully all the time I spent on the submarine will make some kind of impact in the finished product.

It is actually a Plant1.

I will freely admit I am a baddie and didn't think do any of that.

Overall I am way behind and real life demands are creeping up on me. We will see what happens...

What are those searchlight actors?

Cool architecture!

I've always wanted to see those rock-with-lava-border textures used for that sort of stepping stone walkway. Great work!
The entrance looks really foreboding, as well
