I actually just got a ton of major work done on that map last night. I got rid of almost ALL the triggers in the map (which mostly were required to use very large radii in order to actually work considering how big and non-linear the level design is) and replaced them with ThingDetectors, an actor I just wrote.
ThingDetectors, instead of Triggers, use a foreach radiusactors on a timer (with an interval you can control). You set the radius, the scan interval, and the class you want the actor to look for and whether it's initially active or not. If not, you can enable it later so it's not scanning until needed. I use large radii, like 5-8000 or more, with long intervals (3-5 seconds) instead of Triggers which are basically active constantly in Tick. This means that detecting players as they approach map objectives is MUCH faster and less intensive, which really matters when you have about 60 ThingDetectors in the map. I even did a stress test with 50 of them with a 100,000 radius all running every 2 seconds at the same time and got no slowdowns. Amazing. Performance even gets better as you go since I have most of these set to self-destruct once they trigger their event (bTriggerOnceOnly).
So, now, the map will perform somewhat smoother without all the triggers constantly running, especially near the start of the game. These sensors also preserve the EventInstigator and pass it on, so if you have a ThingDetector set up to kill a pawn when you come in range or whatever, you will get credit for the kill. Good times.
Only downside is that they are spherical due to the radius function, not cylindrical, but that's kind of a plus in some situations anyway.

Have you looked further at the exploding cows?
That has been a feature of the BadNews! mutator since the original was
released. (It just used a redeemer blast...)
Always liked the way you could use a stray cow as a bomb in games.
I know you could do some interesting stuff there. Even more than you did with the NaliRabbits probably.
