Here goes the fix:
- Simply SAVE the game but do NOT Load this savegame before going to the next Map (or to a different Savegame; if you want to keep using the same savegame you've been using).
- After this, you will successfully save your savegame later without SAVE CORRUPTION
- Load your savegame again to make sure it worked, then save the savegame again to secure it if you want to GO to the next map (or to a different Savegame; if you want to keep using the same savegame you've been using).
In Summary: Last action should be "SAVE", not "Load", to secure your savegame or any savegame you're playing on before going to another Map (or to a different Savegame) to avoid your own savegame from corrupting...

There was a previous mentioned idea I've heard about putting three different savegame files for 1 single savegame to avoid this, but i think it would be a bit of a mess to handle in the Save folder in the UT directory.
