Haven't used D3D since all the OpenGL fixes came out. I definitely doubt it's anything to do with a texture issue. I used the stock indus1 from UT as far as I know.

The old DirectX5-7 renderer should be considered dead and obsolete unless you are still running Windows 98 and an ancient 8MB GFX card.

If it crashes your UT, you need to upgrade to fixed renderers.

Finally, Sunday and Monday evening were destined for Ehactora's Story, and nothing stood in the way. I had read that Unreal difficulty would be very difficult so I decided against that and played on 227 with ?difficulty=4.
About the difficulty: it was less difficult than Unreal 226 on Unreal, except for the Warlord which managed to kill me (once).
Visually: some parts stunning, other parts good but nothing special. The map with the ship has a very interesting layout with clever use of the Z-axis. The ship itself looks a bit bland from the outside but the inside compensates that (but: it looks much larger from the outside than from the inside). (and it was nice to encounter a hardly ever used enemy in that ship :lol: ).
Story: hmm, I'm not into stories but here it serves it's purpose well and adds a little bit of puzzle solving which keeps the flow going.
Technical stuff : I encountered no technical problems at any point, only a slight slowdown when the predators appeared in one of the later maps (map 4 I think).
As for gameplay balance: even though it wasn't easy by far and health is sometimes hard to find (or easy to overlook), I never got the impression that I would need multiple tries to be able to beat the maps. Having said this, I was generally oscillating between 25 and 75 health and I was being very cautious and managed to weaken most enemies (or even kill them) using DP only, so my impression is that it looks harder than it really is. Good thing that the rifle is only introduced in the later stages - earlier on would have moved the balance to overkill.
About the predators: Every single one of them is bound to surprise the player (actually the flies also) and and they really create tension. I can't remember any other map(pack) which makes such good use of them.

Concluding: I thoroughly enjoyed it (except for the Warlord, but I never like Warlords anyway) and will definitely play this again on ? difficulty=6

I need help.
How to open door at end of level Ehactora's Passage Part Two?.
I do not understand what it means: The way to the Valley Ehactora can only be traveled once the two suns have set.
How to set two suns, and where this suns?
Please help me!

That message is just there to explain why it's night in the next map. Try moving near that rock, the teleporter that leads to the next map is pretty big.

I have proceeded the whole cave, but there's no teleport and i can not complete the level.

I'm not sure. I have 227 and UT, and both worked for me. Try looking at your Unreal.log file in your system folder, it might tell you something.

I might be completely wrong, but I think there might be some problems caused when the path to the Unreal folder is too long, so renaming "Unreal Anthology" to something else might help. That, or maybe your save file is corrupted. Sorry, I'm not really seeing anything else in the log, and I'm out of ideas. :/

Are you getting an error when you try to go to the next map, or is it simply like there isn't a teleporter there? Not sure what would make a teleporter simply disappear.
