The last map lacks ammo (and is also a bit short of health in comparison to the earlier maps). Unreal 227 has a small singleplayer menu. You'll add The Fifth Vortex to it by adding this line to olFifthVortex.int:

The thread nor the readme really stated it, but you might not be able to play this on Unreal unless you are rocking patch 227. I tried on 226 and watched the intro, but Indus1.utx doesn't load properly because of the texture sizes of some of the decals used so the first level doesn't load.

I will attempt a run on Oldskool.

I think it's just that the version of indus1 that is included in the pack is different from the default one included with UT. I had the same problem and then used my UT texture and the map loaded.

Thanks. I'm reuploading the archive to ModDB/Mediafire with that texture file and the updated olFifthVortex.int (thanks for that integration). :)

Edit: The links are the same, but the .zips have been updated.

Just an update, I had the same crash in UT using Oldskool. I'm not sure what's wrong now, here's the log:

You replaced the Indus1.utx file with the one in archive... Copy it off again from the UT CD or redownload the archive, it now includes a proper file.

I just tried my D3D render and got the same crash in UT, so I don't think it's because he has the wrong texture.

Edit: D3D8 and D3D9 work, though.

Yeah It's not the indus thing because I didn't actually copy it for the UT install. I did copy from my disc just in case I brain farted it but the error is still happening. Could it be some kind of D3D thing? This is really the first time I've been using the renderer since years of using OpenGL.

EDIT: Yeah AL, might be my D3D.
