Where does everyone get the 1998 beta from anyway? I've been wondering that for ages.

Good luck getting it to work though. Otherwise get the Zora conversion.

I actually figured out that if you turn off Aero and use the Classic GUI in windows vista/7, the betas actually run properly. Hopefully that helps

It runs fine on my computer (WindowsXP).
How do you change the controls? and is it meant to be so fast?

Try grabbing this glide wrapper if you don't have one already. Look for the Hardware 3D option and it should run smoothly

Thanks for that, it's working now.
I think maybe now that I should have started a new thread for this, it's kinda gone a little bit off topic...

I'm gonna go offtopic a bit here. Sorry for that. I don't know if anyone noticed that Unreal 95 has got one little thing that makes the lighting (anyway, the part of it that works) really cool, which lacks in original Unreal. If it's either a dynamic light or static (tho I guess there's no much difference between them in this old engine installment) they cast light on surfaces and... Specular.
God, how I'd wish this little thing could have it's use in the final Unreal Engine.

I have the tech demo, I'll try looking at it. I'll put up a video tomarrow.
If you see this, I was a really dumb and stupid kid. Don't listen to the above.

I see exactly what you mean, it might be possible to screw around with the texture properties and generate something, but im not too sure.
I also noticed that Unreal 95 had a sprint function, what do you guys think about that feature? I personally think it can add a lot to the atmosphere and change the feel significantly, but I'd like to hear from you guys first before I go on and implement that.
