Beautiful work, Kajgue! This will make one hell of a skybox! :)

Whoa cool
Unreal needed some really good "space" sky textures.

I agree, a good skybox does a lot for immersion! ;)

I never noticed this before, and it is really bothering me.

What should we see?
The way software rendering looks better?
Or the bug?

The bugs obviously.

Which version of OpenGL renderer is it, and have you tweaked the settings ?
Is it the same in D3D9 ?

If you have found a bug in the current renderer, then it would be best to report it so it can be fixed.

It occurs in both d3d9 and opengl, but not software or other versions of d3d. I don't remember if I tweaked the ini files, but I can check to see if it occurs in a fresh 227i install (I think someone hooked me up with some flavor of 227j but I don't recall)

I can say that the error only seems to occur for static meshes where at least one face is transparent. That is true for the mesh in that screenshot.

I'll investigate further sometime in the not too distant future and make a post about it on OU.

It all seems very exciting, Dr. Walter! Some amazing pics, thanks for sharing, and good luck with it all!

Only thing I find funny is naming a group of Skaarj "Spetsnaz"! Sorry, but to me that will invariably make me think of Soviet/Russian special forces! Then again, I guess we can always pretend it's just a name given by humans - in the same way as "Gryphon" really sounds like a name given by humans to whatever (a planet in this case).

Nice shots, Walter! The only things I would've complained about (like overuse of base textures) are in maps that you haven't finished yet. :D

OMG a new project out of nowhere!
Screenshots looking good.
Any tentative time schedule? (no release date or anything specific, just an envisaged time frame for the various production stages)
