Since I finished making this Stunner for use in Unreal PSX episode 1 part 2, I am releasing it here as another teaser.The Stunner in Alcapowned's resurgence is/will be different from this one, but functions mostly the same.Enjoy.
I just finished this up. It made me sweat so much doing so.It's really tough working on flamethrower and making sure all that steel fits in. Oh and the heat, pfooof.
NOTE: On dedicated servers the altfire projectiles are dumbproxy. This will make it seem they are flying in the air. On in-progress version I have that set back to simulated, however after making couple of functions simulated, it only makes it update up to the point of hitting a wall. The server doesn't register that the gel has shrunk nor does it remove the gel mesh after it exploded, so we are stuck with a similar situation, hence why I didn't release the updated version yet. Right now the released version works fine in singleplayer and has issues in online play with the alt projectiles.
Update: I tried to ask some persons for help but I eventually figured it out for myself/fixed up to workable state, so dedicated servers should no longer have problem with this weapon.Use this version, I will make UT version soonhopefuly and make a post. The UT version will be conformed to this updated version of 225 one, so really use this for now, the ut version will be netcompatible to this one.
here's a more-or-less accurate direct conversion of the Napalm Gun as it was in version 0.871d from August 1997.I didn't add the custom flameball with the 256x256 jflameball texture(the texture got replaced at some point but then changed back to the same one except 128x128 in final Unreal).
Primary fire in this case also "charges" the gun what normally gesbiorifle does in altfire.
It's quite buggy and napalmdrop didnt get spawned because I forgot to add that back in to the script instead of dummy napalmgel. However this was the first raw conversion/test. I am focusing on different stuff now so there won't be a proper version/upgrade soon but I thought I'd explain.
Summon PeaceMakerU.PeaceMakerYou can pick it up after throwing it ouit before it settles down on the floor this time. Should work under botpack as well. Read the PaceMakerU.txt file for more.
