Looks more like clouds and flying creatures to me...

Amazing!

Looks great, and I like the colouring.
On the other hand background, notably the building on the left and the mountains on the right could use a bit more detail. I mean it looks OK the way it is now, but I'm not really into this kind of.... graphics.

Anyway, really amazing stuff an I really think you're a talented artist!

Your art and imagination is really awesome, Carthage

I seemingly didn't know how to react when my friend lost that "It's amazing!" expression on his face when I told him I used a tablet to make this picture.

Now that it's got some look-at's, I realize I could have spent more time in this one - and bringing out the colors too.

Say... do you guys know... ConceptArt.org?

Great piece of art, Carthage. You improve your skills with every new painting.

And conceptart.org is a good place to place this, I guess.
Do you update your deviantART album with all your paintings?

I'm visiting ConceptArt.org from time to time. I'm pretty sure you can post your work there to hear constructive comments and crits.
And take part in their competitions (if you haven't already)!

EDIT: Is it really an Unreal fan art? It lacks that warm unreal vibe IMHO.

Well, it's good to hear I'm actually improving. That means I'm the the right track. :D I do update my DA on occasion but I don't really get any good and constructive criticism.

If there's one thing I thought of, CA.org is certainly more profession-oriented unlike DeviantART - both sides stink of elitism but the latter of bad art. :P I wondered if I had a place in CA.org especially seeing that a lot of popular people from DA were upright rejected (though much of those people were damned out of their minds) because of their much higher standards and serious level of dedication to arts. Maybe I should prepare more? And I'm pretty sure joining a competition there means they blow up my work to little irrecognizable you-wish-you-never-did-it smithereens and then they turn back time to return your work into its original state and then bring out bigger guns so they can blow it up into smaller particles and repeat over and over until you lose whatever motivation you had in fine arts and decide to become a tired old sarcastic and pessimistic tax collector and repeat over and over again you never had talent or skill and are never capable of doing true art and that any remaining attempt to 'create' art will be returned with extreme gestures of distaste and "STOP TRYING TO BE AN ARTIST, NOOB". :P

But then it may actually be a good place to improve.

OK, I see your scepticism about making concept arts. You are afraid of been blamed.
So I can offer you another field of art and competition - game-artist.net. People there are very polite IMHO, they offer much help and good crit. There are two mainstream competition: Speed modeling and speed texturing. I have participated in a few of SMCs and haven't won a first place of course but it was real fun and a great training for me.
