You can already get HD (and a whole lot of other awesomeness) using Userpatch. They've screwed up some of the effects in this release (the water looks out of place as does the fire and farms. If they're going to remaster all the sprites they've gotta remaster ALL the sprites).

With that said, fuck yeah, multi monitor support!

What? GFWL isn't involved. GFWL is arguably the only thing worse than U-Play/Origin.

Also: being able to play AoE2 without port forwarding, gameranger, hamachi, or VPNs of any kind with all of my friends is totally bad. And being able to have custom scenarios all in one place instead of scattered everywhere is completely unacceptable.

As well as the fact that the network code probably got a rewrite and may fix a particular bug I've always had over the years, which is that desyncs happen and screw the game up with 4 people from all over the US with 4 AIs, but that may be a bandwidth thing.

The achievements are kind of pointless though.
