It's funny that they still hate us after we kicked their asses Hundreds of years ago.

...which was by and large unnecessary. Most historical scholars think that legal emancipation would have occurred because the British court system was already leaning that way concerning American freedom. The colonialists didn't want to wait and took up arms, forcing a military response. You don't get much of this in American history because it doesn't read as well as the biased version.
