There's something especially satisfying about playing UC2, even on a gamepad. If I didn't have to screw around with my 360 to play it, I'd have put a lot more hours into that game.

It's not really an fps imo. More of a fighter or tps which happens to have unreal series guns and characters. It's very fun

This game kicks UT2k3/UT2k4 in the nuts. Sucks it never came to PC.

Not saying it wouldn't be fun on PC, but I think this is a clear cut example of EPIC targeting consoles 100% and the resulting game being awesome. The whole game was designed with a pad in mind.
(Compare with UT3: they were trying to go multiplatform, and certain aspects of the game were better on certain platforms, instead of the whole package being brilliant on a single platform)
Speaking of halo, I find it to be a similar story. The core gameplay simply isn't as fun for me on the PC port, despite the fact that you can LAN, there are more maps and weapons, and you have access to mouselook. The entire experience feels crippled in that the game doesn't seem to be utilizing my PCs capabilities/form factor 100%. The movement speed and jumping style just feels so wrong on a PC, while it feels pretty damn good on the Xbox.
/Totally Personal Opinion

It was very mod-friendly though. One trainer had one of my favorite things ever - taking control of any AI.
