Every so often, usually when all Hell is breaking loose, things line up in ways they usually don't and something amazing happens. Because this 1 thing was so beyond the norm (minor miracle I wasn't killed being so shocked by it) there was no chance I wanted to miss anyone else seeing it:
Yes, it's a Krall riding on top of a manta... which is riding on top of a fly!
The fly disengaged but still the coolness continued:
Highly unlikely anyone can EVER top that!
Cool enough for a thread of its own!

We should turn that into an official pawn. Manta-riding Krall

I lol'd. The fact that he's on top of the manta makes him looks so much more menacing Probably because he's actually taller than the player for once.

Ha! rideable titans would make for some potentially wacky sequences of gameplay!
Manta-riding Krall - for instance with a giant manta and a proper posture for the Krall - could actually be a very nice idea!!

Standard Krall crouching position?
Sat42 wrote::lol: Amazing... what are the odds? 1 in a million??
Maybe not quite that large...
...the 'phenomena' happens, just not so often.
More common with players than monsters, though.

This is the current map edit, yes. Though it started as my edit but now includes Nelsona & Red_Mist. I was going for a collaboration to make 1 map, but looks like there may be 4 promising ones... when/if we ever get them finished.

I've actually done a side-by-side comparison; Krall only look shorter when you're looking at them, as most any other player does. They're actually a little bit taller than standard player models.

I hope for a release...

Yeah, might work! I won't be surprised if such a pawn were to require more custom postures and animations for added credibility, though. No idea how hard it would be to make it - and I clearly don't have the skill for that kind of stuff in anycase!

I see. Funny, it still hasn't happened to me! Then again, I don't play that much and only relatively traditional gametypes. Regarding the thread makemeunreal posted, the most peculiar hat I ever got was a tentacle on a couple of occasions - and also a fly, once.

On a similar subject, I've been wondering if there's a mutator that turns off the automatic bumping-off-each-others-heads that goes on in Unreal and Unreal Tournament; building human ladders would be pretty cool.

Yes, and it could do well for new coop possibilities!!

I thought human ladders were already possible?? (as seen in that shot a few posts up, and also in many jailbreak levels that require the players to stack up to reach an escape route. Hell, just yesterday I was running around with a bot for a hat and she had no qualms sitting still up there)

Sure, it's probably possible, but not in stock gamemodes. By default, pawns (players and NPCs) bounce off each other's heads; hence my asking for a mutator.

Most extremes I've seen were done deliberately by the folks at the House of Fools clan:
I'm fairly sure those were done by summons, and not the accidental way I occasionally stumble across.
That would've been one Hell of an accident!
