Just looking at this now, I wanted to say that while I never played Quake, I kind of feel the urge to get the game just to try out some of the game's best community works! Some of that stuff seems fantastic... and much superior to the original game and its expansions (I've watched some playthroughs) in every possible way.

OK that's it. Next time Quake is on sale on GOG.com I'll get it just to try this mod!
(I have no real interest in the retail content, I didn't care about spoilers when watching walkthroughs because honestly the base game has next to no story and it's just not interesting enough for me to spend hours playing it. If you didn't enjoy this back in the day, then the only reason for getting Quake now is the mods IMO.)

I'm still playing Arcane Dimensions, IMO it's absolutely brilliant and breathes life into what 'Quake' is again. I've only found about one rune so far, have played alot of the other maps but haven't found the runes from them yet.
