UT3 bots ownz the UT99 ones

Seriusly i kicked ass on UT99 agains Masterful bots

But on UT3 at the same diffuclt it was i who got my ass kicked

And i warmed up at the same difficult at ut3 with a 20 frag limit and won. but the 20 time limit was something way much different z.z probably the bots are more balanced

Touché. But i have to admit that UT3 weapons damage more, and the bots are like not equal, they all got thier own skill and way to fight.

The UT3 bots are really annoying and cheap. They tend to be berserk-like, especially with the Link Gun. Incredible accuracy too.
Their reaction time was perfect before the final patch.

UT Bots are more bots.

yeah, the ut3 bots pwn me compared to ut99 bots.

I actually get a decent game against the bots on skilled now. I still win, but every now and then a close game or a loss pops up.
Wheras on UT99 the skilled bots line up for the slaughter and i win every match.

I'm too lazy to put the skill level up to masterful, lol. I'll do it when i reinstall UT

UT3 bots are more like Q3 bots ( HAX ) than the UT'99 ones.

They been working on that bot AI now for 3 4 5 times.

steve Polge is the AI bot guy, he came from Quake 1 (id)

Don't own ut3 yet, one of these days.

when ever i choose to intall UT2k4 i gona compare the differnece between UT2k4 wiht UT99 and UT3

but thats when i choose to install it again.

True, they're cheap and more accurate, but in their own kinda way, they're very predictable. I can beat a godlike bot 1vs1 on UT3 easier than in UT99. The UT99 counterpart is less bot-like and more difficult (in my opinion) to combat, while the UT3 one is easy as long as you avoid his supertastic aiming skills and use the environment to your own advantage - their movements are very easy to predict, if you know the map well.

And WINGS-guy, aren't you playing SLV or that SLV ripoff mod (nemesisx or something) online?

Bet Madis is exactly correct, I never played UT3 but thinking about it they made the bots to work accurate with the new engine, hopefully.Resolved the old problems from before, however now that they work right they should add back more randomness.

My perspetive, not knowing UT3, educated guess.

There's 3 noticeable bot skill levels despite multiple skill selections. Lowest to Experienced being the easiest. They follow paths stopping to pickup items and sometimes go into turret mode. Skilled makes better use of alternate paths and might dodge some shots. Everything above that is the same. Nearly all projectiles dodged, near instant reaction time and near perfect accuracy. No matter what skill it's obvious they're computer opponents. Playing against bots is nothing at all like playing against real people.

Rocket X Nemesis yes, thats our clan weapon which one in our clan created out of the SLV.
