It depends how much money you can save up. Ravello doesn't come cheap, but I think it's worth the extra cost. It's got a very idyllic vibe to it (it's a very safe place for children, with the bonus of being largely free of cars) and pretty much all of the hotels have stunning views. Most of the hotels also have swimming pools (the hotel we stayed at, the Giordano, has a particularly good pool and is particularly well placed right next to the square).
