Look what I've got today puny fleshlings!
A flintstone .45 muzzleloader pistol FTW!
I got it for 279 euros or 250 american bucks; its hand made and old, its at least 12 times worth the money I paid for it.
Imagine the effort to build such a gun, its incredible.
No rust, no stains, no scratches, perfect wood, at least 150 years old, what a bargain!
In the case you are wondering what these decoration on the stock and metal plates mean, they all represent demons and the devil if you look closer. And no, its not a decoration piece, it shoots very well with roundball and blackpowder!
I know, I am a show-off., but a happy one.
My christmas present (show-off alert!)

They look nice and colourful. Especially the handle of the second gun, incredible carvings on it.

I have pretty much experience with muzzleloaders, and if you touch and feel the roughness and the texture of the barrel metal its very sure that it was made in the very late 17's to mid 18's.

Its defenitely a keeper, no museum is worthy to keep such a masterpiece of art and shooting, and the gun is not meant to be put behind glass, its meant to be shot and I'll do the job.
The only way to get it for free is to pull it out of my dead cold hands.

Haha, I just was going to say that, too!
Isn't it dangerous to shoot it tho? I mean.. isn't there at chance it would explode or have problems?

Maybe it sounds funny, but 200 years ago a lot weapon-smiths used to build sturdier and stronger weapons then todays replicas.
Of course metallurgy is a lot better today with steel strength and a very pure grade of steel and so on, but back in the old times they just used double as much steel to make the barrel strong enough to take the pressure of several 10000 psi, and that makes a as strong or even stronger weapon than today.
But as always: As long the barrel isnt made of brass and is damaged with rust and you know what you are doing there is only a very tiny little chance to blow up a antique barrel.
