I'll keep this thread on for likely one or two more weeks. It'd be cool if a Xenome 2 thread could be opened also.

I've got six more days of leave before I start another 14 day shift.
Nothing like a time constraint to get the whip cracking.
Edit:
Hmmm... Node limit exeeded. A slight re-design is needed.
Edit:
Just about done. should be good to go on the 12th. (fingers crossed)

Coming around, I'm really glad Xenome ultimately managed to find its form. It's pretty much a new vision of the Unreal world that's more industrial, human, terran based. There are so many well-made segments within structures that feel absolutely real, it's such a hard mappack to forget. It's the most modern release.

I did not notice the edits by Jazz until just now. That is great news! I can't wait to play it. It has been far too long since the Unreal community saw a big, high quality release.
Edit: Hey Jazz, I meant to ask you something earlier. Should I also install the patch you uploaded the other day (pxfd105-109patchdelta.zip), or should I wait? I'm not sure which version "PX_patch" is, but I just want to make sure I have the latest.

Hi LH
Dont worry about the delta patch, it was meant only for myself for the time being until such time as i could knit all three episodes together.
Had big problems with the UMOD generator last night (12th). I may have to upload a manual version first until I can sort out any errors.

Ok, good to know!

I actually prefer a manual installation file. Whenever people upload UMOD files, I always extract the contents of them using "Umod Browser", and manually copy over files. I always want to see what is being overwritten in my UT folder, and if there will be any conflicts.

Next week something new, finally!
Xenome2 won't be covered here because it's too new and most people won't have much to say immediately, so it's saved for later.
Thanks Jazz once again for having released a new monster of a mappack.

Cheers UB.
Being a brand new pack I expected as much.

I remember there was a total of 3 eps for Project Xenome. Is part 3 going to be released?

In terms of Zephon vs Xenome.. it's a big difference. It's been YEARS since I've played it, but when I see the screenshots, lots come back to mind..
Zephon has a certain visual appeal to it, but it's inconsistent. YOu can tell differences in map qualities, because of different mappers. And the nice ones usually have a certain "color" combination to them: lots of green and yellow, giving it a certain glow. New? Yes. Appealing? Yes. Lasting? No, not really.
In that regard Xenome shines more, because of 1 mapper there is a consistent theme. Yes, there is a Half-Life influence (I remember that). But other than that it's pretty original, really thought out well, instead of just relying on visuals. And that's a good thing, which makes it timeless. It'll be nice to play it again after a few years.
